What a Lesson Plan is

First I wanted to explain what a lesson plan is. A lesson plan is a detailed description of a course instruction for an individual topic that is presented to the classroom. This helps teachers be prepared for a lesson by knowing what point they want to come across during the lesson, what materials will be needed, and a step by step layout of what to do during the lesson. Lesson plans help teachers come to a full understanding of what is needed to be taught during the lesson and helps the teacher review what is being taught to try and make it fun for the students. On each lesson plan the teacher is most likely to write the goals of the overall lesson such as wanting the students to learn how to count with objects instead of their own fingers. Overall, lesson plans are used to prepare the teachers as well as organize the lesson to make it easier for the teachers to teach and students to learn was is being taught.
